Job Overview:
The Director of Brand Marketing leads Acenda’s external brand strategy and execution, ensuring we present a clear, compelling and consistent presence across all outward-facing marketing channels.
Overseeing a small, high-impact marketing team consisting of a Marketing & Relationship Manager and Growth Marketing Coordinator, the Director is responsible for aligning service-line marketing, overseeing digital brand presence and implementing scalable marketing campaigns, including tracking advanced analytics for continuous optimization.

The Brand, Marketing & Engagement (BME) team brings together performance marketing, communications, storytelling, and donor engagement to amplify Acenda’s mission and strengthens connections across staff, clients, donors, and communities. The BME team drives data-informed campaigns, elevates thought leadership, enhances internal engagement, and fosters community connection. Duties and Responsibilities:
External Brand Strategy & Execution
• Lead the development and execution of Acenda’s external brand strategy, ensuring consistency across digital platforms, service-line campaigns, and community-facing touchpoints.
• Serve as the primary owner of brand execution, translating positioning and messaging frameworks into campaigns, visuals, and experiences that drive awareness and engagement.
• Oversee brand strategy initiatives that strengthen Acenda’s reputation, visibility, and thought leadership within the community and healthcare landscape.
Team Leadership
• Directly manage and support:
o Marketing & Relationship Manager, responsible for service-line campaigns and developing referral-based partnerships.
o Growth Marketing Coordinator, responsible for Acenda’s digital brand presence, including social media, company websites, video and other digital platforms.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable team culture focused on learning, execution, and continuous improvement.
Campaign Strategy & Performance Oversight
• Guide the planning and execution of service-line marketing campaigns to increase awareness, referrals, and service utilization.
• Establish and oversee full-funnel marketing strategies (awareness, engagement, conversion, retention), using performance data to inform priorities and improvements.
• Translate marketing analytics and reporting into actionable insights that shape campaign direction, budget decisions, and future planning.
Data, Measurement & Marketing Operations
• Oversee marketing dashboards to track KPIs, ROI, and channel performance.
• Use data collected by the marketing team to inform strategy, optimize spend, and adjust execution.
• Support the effective use of marketing tools and platforms (e.g., CRM integration, automation, analytics) to improve efficiency and insight.
Collaboration & Messaging Alignment
• Partner closely with the Director of Communication & Brand Experience to ensure external brand execution aligns with internal communications, messaging frameworks, and organizational voice.
• Influence messaging consistency through collaboration and feedback, while maintaining clear ownership of external brand execution and campaign delivery.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to align marketing efforts with organizational goals and growth priorities
Required Skills/Competencies:
• Advanced knowledge of digital marketing, service-line campaign development, and brand positioning.
• Proven experience with marketing technology platforms (automation, CRM, data visualization).
• Proficiency in graphic design and marketing-related software and experience creating marketing materials for print and digital channels.
• Expertise in analytics, reporting, and performance measurement frameworks.
• Ability to translate data into insights and insights into action.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leaders in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role overseeing digital strategy and marketing operations.
• Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing marketing teams.
• Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or service-line marketing preferred.
• Strong understanding of healthcare trends, regulations, and best practices.
