ABOUT THE ROLE
The purpose of the PR & Influencer Marketing Internship role is to support the brand communications team in amplifying our voice across influencer marketing, public relations, retail communications, and events. The role is designed to provide hands-on experience in building brand awareness through creative storytelling, talent partnerships, and content development, while gaining exposure to the inner workings of an in-house brand marketing team.
This is a temporary part-time role from June to August 2025 with possibility for extension. This role is to be hybrid with three in-office days in our Playa Vista office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Influencer Marketing
· Assist with identifying, evaluating, and engaging on-brand influencer talent and content creators
· Contribute to the coordination and execution of our brand content communities including talent discovery, communication, product fulfilment, and content tracking
· Maintain and organize influencer content libraries and asset management systems
· Help manage and update our influencer contact and outreach database
· Support influencer outreach efforts and assist with product gifting logistics
· Collaborate on the development and implementation of influencer marketing campaigns
· Monitor influencer content for brand alignment, engagement, and performance insights
PR & Brand Communication
· Help manage and maintain our PR contact database
· Track and monitor media coverage and brand mentions across platforms
· Contribute to the execution of brand PR and communications strategies
· Assist in drafting press materials and internal/external brand communications as needed
Campaign Planning & Strategy
· Participate in creative brainstorming sessions for brand campaign ideation
· Support project planning and timeline tracking for key seasonal initiatives
· Assist in compiling competitive research and trend reports
· Provide perspective on our edit customer mindset
Retail Brand Communications
· Contribute to the creation of monthly/quarterly content calendars for mall and retail partners
· Help develop brand-aligned communication materials for internal retail teams
Events & Activations
· Assist in researching, planning, and organize brand events and activations
· Provide on-site support during brand events as needed
· Help coordinate event recaps, content capture, and post-event reporting
Content Creation & Social Media
· Occasionally support the social team with content creation & ideation for our brand channel
· Capture and edit behind-the-scenes, UGC-style, or even-based content for social platforms
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, & KEY SKILLS
· Written & Verbal Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills including deck building
· Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a team
· Time Management: Able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively and stay organized across multiple projects
· Familiarity with Microsoft Suite: comfortable using shared documents and spreadsheets for collaboration, tracking, and reporting
· Creative Thinking & Interest in Brand Storytelling: Genuine interest in brand communication and marketing with a creative, problem-solving mindset
· Physical Requirement: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally (e.g., boxes or other merchandise packages, bins, clothing racks, stools/ladders)
