Job Description

A leading financial services organization is seeking a Brand Marketing & Campaign Manager to lead day-to-day management of a high-visibility initiative within its small business credit card portfolio. This is a hands-on, execution-forward contract role with significant agency and cross-functional coordination — the successful candidate will own multiple creative workstreams simultaneously and help drive the launch of a new integrated campaign.

The ideal candidate is a strategic marketer who thrives in production-heavy environments: comfortable leading photo and video shoots, managing agency partners, trafficking creative across integrated media channels, and keeping complex, matrixed projects moving on time.

Location: New York City or Chicago, IL 
Contract Start: Late May / Early June
Contract Term: 6 months
Working Hours: 40 hours/week, 3 days in office/week required
Travel: May be required for production
Compensation: $70/hr

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Management

  • Maintain a deep understanding of brand purpose, strategy, and guidelines to facilitate effective brand stewardship and cohesion across all go-to-market efforts
  • Understand the business and marketing objectives, championing brand solutions to deliver on business goals
  • Partner closely with business teams to provide strategic and tactical brand, advertising and marketing communications support

Creative Development

  • Manage production and implementation of advertising and content tactics across integrated Paid and Owned channels spanning linear and online video, digital, mobile, social, print, audio, out of home, website, email and direct mail
  • Work closely with agency partners and cross-functional marketing teams including media, social, digital, PR, project management, creative and analytics to drive cohesive creative campaigns 
  • Partner with market research team to uncover key consumer insights and test creative ideas 

Agency & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage day-to-day agency relationships, providing clear and actionable feedback through rapid iteration cycles
  • Navigate a highly matrixed environment, influencing across teams without direct authority
  • Keep key stakeholders informed and deliverables on track across multiple simultaneous workstreams

Compliance/Control

  • Ensure legal/compliance/risk and control requirements are met for all campaigns with appropriate approvals obtained

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of marketing experience with demonstrated expertise in brand strategy, marketing communications, and/or advertising execution
  • Hands-on production experience leading photo and video shoots — from pre-production through delivery
  • Fluency in social media creative and channel best practices; experience with social-first and video-forward campaign execution
  • Creative agency management experience: ability to move agencies through fast turnarounds, synthesize feedback, and maintain quality under deadline pressure
  • Strong project management instincts — skilled at managing across multiple workstreams, keeping complex projects on track, and anticipating blockers before they arise
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to mid- and senior-level stakeholders
  • Proven ability to influence in a collaborative, multi-stakeholder setting — a trusted team player who drives results across functions

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in or alongside advertising agencies
  • Background in financial services or small business marketing
  • Familiarity with media trafficking and working across paid media environments
