As we accelerate our growth, this role will be pivotal in enhancing and amplifying our brand content strategy and execution.


About the Position:

We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Director of Brand Marketing to join our team as we embark on an exciting new chapter, expanding our brand's digital and geographic presence in the women's bags and accessories space. In this role, you will lead the strategy, creation, management, and execution of high-impact content that aligns with our brand voice, resonates with our target audience, and supports our business growth. From developing compelling storytelling that builds our brand and showcases our products, to developing annual/seasonal plans, to overseeing content across digital channels, you'll play a key role in amplifying our brand’s voice, deepening customer relationships, driving engagement, and increasing conversion.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Content Strategy & Planning:

o Develop and execute a comprehensive annual and seasonal content marketing strategy aligned with our mission, vision, goals and target audience

o Partner with the founders and Direct-to-Consumer team on developing and executing integrated content channel strategies 


Brand Management & Storytelling:

o Lead the development and refinement of brand messaging, ensuring consistency across all content platforms

o Maintain and elevate our visual and verbal identity through all marketing materials

o Own and maintain SCOUT’s presence across all organic social platforms


Content Creation & Management:

o Lead the scaling, development and distribution of all content & copy, including photography, video, social media, email marketing, digital advertising and B2B catalogs

o Manage content calendars to ensure timely delivery of campaigns, holding stakeholders accountable for deliverables


Go-To-Market Management:

o Own the delivery of all seasonal GTM content marketing milestones and sub-tasks; collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute 

o Drive content marketing efforts across all touchpoints of the customer journey, from awareness to purchase


Creative Team Leadership:

o Drive the creative vision for campaigns, seasonal launches, and day-to-day content

o Lead, mentor, inspire and manage a high-performing internal creative team, and oversee external content partners


Customer Insights & Competitor Analysis:

o Synthesize insights, data, and market research to inform content strategies; refine our consumer personas to influence audience targeting


Brand Partnerships:

o Identify and foster strategic partnerships with influencers, media outlets, and complementary brands to amplify content reach and brand presence

o Collaborate with partners to co-create content and drive mutually beneficial marketing campaigns


Partnership with Chief Creative Officer:

o Partner with the Chief Creative Officer to establish brand development as a key driver of operational success and top line growth for the company.

o Develop a strong partnership with the Chief Creative Officer to ensure alignment in the brand storytelling and involvement with the marketing team

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field

• 7+ years of experience in brand marketing, with at least 3+ years in a similar role at a consumer-facing brand, preferably within the fashion, retail or lifestyle industries

• Proven track record of developing and executing successful annual and seasonal content strategies and campaigns

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and inspiring a creative team, with the ability to influence cross-functionally and at all levels within an organization

• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a knack for embodying a brand’s voice and tone

• Knowledge and understanding of all social channels, their respective best practices, and their algorithms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat etc.)

• Experience with influencer marketing, content creators and brand partnerships

• Some experience in paid media (PPC, display, social ads) and email marketing, and how it integrates with content marketing

• Knowledge of SEO, content optimization, and content marketing best practices

• Experience with budget management, forecasting, and performance analysis

• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions 

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders

• Experience managing a marketing budget and/or P&L
