Job Overview:

The Director of Brand Marketing will provide strategic leadership for Acenda’s marketing efforts by overseeing the overall digital strategy, service-line campaigns, analytics, and marketing infrastructure. This role is responsible for building full-funnel, data-driven growth capabilities that strengthen brand awareness, drive engagement, and generate measurable results.

The Director will develop and implement scalable marketing campaigns, leverage advanced analytics for continuous optimization, and guide the development of Acenda’s marketing technology stack and measurement frameworks. As a senior leader, this individual will mentor and inspire a high-performing team, foster cross-department collaboration, and ensure marketing strategies are aligned with organizational goals and growth priorities.

 The Brand, Marketing & Engagement (BME) team brings together performance marketing, communications, storytelling, and donor engagement to amplify Acenda’s mission and strengthens connections across staff, clients, donors, and communities. This dynamic team helps shape how Acenda shows up in the world by building a strong, cohesive brand that reflects our compassion, expertise, and impact. The BME team drives data-informed campaigns, elevates thought leadership, enhances internal engagement, and fosters community connection. Focused on innovation and collaboration, we leverage emerging tools, creative strategy, and authentic storytelling to make our work more efficient, engaging, and impactful. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Acenda’s digital strategy, including SEO/SEM, AI, social, web, paid media and emerging platforms.
  • Direct the planning and execution of service-line marketing campaigns to increase awareness, referrals, and service utilization.
  • Establish data-driven, full-funnel growth strategies (awareness, engagement, conversion, retention).
  • Build a comprehensive marketing measurement framework to track ROI and KPIs across all channels.
  • Lead development of marketing dashboards and reporting processes for executive leadership.
  • Translate insights into actionable strategies that improve performance and optimize spend.
  • Design and manage Acenda’s marketing technology stack, including automation, CRM integration, and analytics platforms.
  • Enhance marketing operations, processes, and workflows to ensure scalability and efficiency.
  • Implement data governance best practices to ensure accuracy and reliability of marketing data.
  • Mentor, coach, and inspire the marketing team to foster innovation, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with executive and senior leaders and external partners to align campaigns with organizational goals.
  •  Serve as a brand steward, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning across all touchpoints.
  • Identify emerging trends, tools, and channels to drive innovation in marketing strategies.
  • Oversee brand strategy initiatives to strengthen Acenda’s reputation and thought leadership.
  • Develop annual marketing plans and budgets aligned to organizational objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing digital strategy and marketing operations.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing marketing teams.
  • Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or service-line marketing preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare trends, regulations, and best practices.

Additional Information:

  • Base rate:  $75,000
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday; 9-5
  • Bilingual Rate: An additional $3,120 added to the base rate if Spanish proficient.
