Social media strategist

Building a successful advertising campaign takes careful planning, development, and a strong social media strategist who can reach the target audience. Davis Elen is seeking a skilled social media strategist to help us build social media campaigns that capture prospects’ attention and engage existing customers.

Responsibilities 

  • Monitor analytics and metrics to gauge success of social media posts and ad campaigns  
  • Research social media trends and hashtags that relate to a target audience’s interests 
  • Maintain a cohesive social media strategy across various channels to achieve high levels of user engagement 
  • Analyze data and metrics to create weekly and monthly reports on web traffic, user engagement, and ROI 
  • Work with digital and creative teams across the agency to ensure campaigns reflect the client’s overall brand strategy and demographic
  • Optimize campaigns with strategic direction and identify new and creative ways to maximize results. 

Skills and qualifications 

  • Understanding of web traffic metrics/analytics 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Experience creating and scheduling content calendars  
  • Short form writing experience is necessary within social content context  
  • Extensive knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok 
  • Excellent time management skills and customer-service oriented attitude 
  • Excellent attention to detail is a must  
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly 
  • Self starter; takes initiative; excellent time management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Experience using social publishing tools (Sprout Social, Social Studio) 

Preferred qualifications

  • 3-4 years’ experience working as a social media strategist or manager  
  • A bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree in marketing or a related field 
  • Hands-on experience using social media to build brand awareness 
  • Ability to identify target audiences’ preferences and produce tailored content
