Description

OBJECTIVE:   The Visual Brand Strategist is responsible for shaping and maintaining the visual identity of Phelps across all touchpoints. This role focuses on the creative execution of branding elements to ensure a cohesive and professional appearance that enhances Phelps' value proposition and market positioning. Working closely with the Marketing Strategist, the Brand Design Specialist ensures all communications are visually compelling, aligned with company values, and resonate with target audiences.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Brand Development: Manage and evolve Phelps’ visual identity, including logo use, color palettes, typography, and design guidelines,  to differentiate the Phelps brand in the marketplace.  Conduct periodic brand audits to assess the consistency and impact of visual communications  and identify areas for improvement.
  • Creative Asset Creation:  Design marketing materials, including print collateral, social media graphics, and digital advertisements, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines. Develop templates for emails, presentations, and reports that maintain a polished and professional image.
  • Campaign Development: Collaborate with the Marketing Strategist to create visuals for multi-channel marketing campaigns, including flyers, infographics, and website assets. Produce visually engaging assets for events, product launches, and promotions.
  • Creative Oversight: Ensure all brand communications (advertisements, digital media, packaging, etc.) align with the brand’s identity. Maintain an organized library of brand assets, including photos, videos, and design files.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure the brand’s values are integrated into customer touchpoints and work to develop brand loyalty programs to improve customer retention.
  • Marketing Strategy Support: Partner with the Marketing Strategist to translate strategic objectives into visually impactful designs that enhance campaign effectiveness. Ensure visual elements reflect the “why” defined by the Marketing Strategist, providing the creative “how” to bring strategic initiatives to life.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., strategic marketing, sales, leadership) to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives and to produce customer-facing materials such as catalogs, case studies, and signage.. Partner with the Marketing Strategist to align visual elements with broader marketing goals.
  • Measurement and Reporting: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities, prepare regular reports on KPIs, and assist in presenting findings to senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging design tools, and best practices to keep Phelps’ visuals fresh and modern. Experiment with new visual approaches to improve engagement and appeal.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree (graphics highly preferred)
  • Proven experience in developing brand visuals

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in graphic design software and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc).
