The Senior Director of Brand Marketing is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping, executing, and overseeing the overall brand strategy of Groundworks. The primary goal is to drive brand growth, enhance brand equity, and ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels and touchpoints.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute brand strategies aligned with Groundworks’ organizational goals.
  • Define and refine the brand’s unique value proposition to resonate with target audiences and differentiate from competitors.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of the brand’s visual and verbal identity, including logos, color schemes, messaging, and tone of voice.
  • Lead the development of integrated marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and engagement. Lead engagement with external agencies to ensure strategic alignment and excellence in execution.
  • Monitor brand equity and health metrics, implementing strategies to improve brand perception and customer loyalty.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing brand team, providing clear direction and leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments such as production, sales, field support, performance marketing, and customer service to ensure brand alignment.
  • Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and manage the brand budget, allocating resources effectively.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of Groundworks brand initiatives and make data-driven decisions and drive continuous improvement. Showcase business impact through measurement and reporting.
  • Establish and develop core capabilities in consumer insights and analytics. Modify team structure, operations, standard work, reporting and communication and incorporate new capabilities and impact in the area of consumer insights and analytics to be leveraged across all functions of the organization in continuous improvement in the delivery of our consumer experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in marketing.  
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in brand marketing, including leadership roles.
  • Proficiency with marketing and analytics.
  • Extensive experience in brand marketing, including leadership roles. Extensive experience in consumer insights and analytics.
  • Proven ability to establish new capabilities and processes within an organization.

Working Conditions

The Senior Director of Brand Marketing will be in an office environment with up to 50% travel across the US and Canada operations. The role is in-person at our Virginia Beach headquarters.
